Books I love!!

Hi All,

There are certain books that I enjoyed reading. I am always interested in reading books as it takes you to the another world. Sometimes, it breaks your heart, sometimes happy ending..and sometime you never know what is served on your plate!! My observations says that, books with saddening ends have far more better impact on one than to happy endings.

People say you can escape reality if you read books.

First let's grab a cup of chai. Here,I am mentioning a few books that I loved a lot and the hangover is real!!

1) The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne - I am still not healed from this recent read of mine. The book is a work of fiction and based on Holocaust. It takes you on the journey with a nine year old boy. What a read it was for me. Mind you, there are some people who hated or disliked the book.Very few in moderation. The book brings out strong emotional reaction from the reader!! That's the beauty of book and reader. We all perceive differently!!

2) I've Never Been (UN)Happier by Shaheen Bhatt -  This is written by Shaheen Bhatt(sister of Alia Bhatt..Bollywood rag rag mei busa hai na humare) on depression and mental health. Shaheen shares ups and mostly downs of her life starting from her childhood. She shares facts and information about mental health and how the society does not take it seriously because it is intangible. I did not thoroughly enjoyed reading it as some parts were typically boring to me but overall it is kind of must reads!!

3) We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - More than all the ladies I want all the males must read this gem. She has beautifully explained that being a feminist is not being a  man-hater!! Many of us have a wrong understanding of feminism in our cute little head. Please read this to know that we all are HUMANS and deserve equality.

4) Wonder by R.J. Palacio - Ohh my my!! Loved reading..loved the fact that I got to read you. The so called "perfects" in the universe are fighting for so little. There are many warriors on this planet earth. It changed me in so many ways!! This book is about a boy who has facial deformity and how he has to deal with it more on the social front.

Now, this is getting hard here. I still have many books to jot down here and we are already on number 5. Acha, let it be..jab pyaar kiya to darna kya.. Let me mention a few more. I promise they are worth giving a read.

5) The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini- The book is written so beautifully that I still have strong images of the characters. I read it atleast 7-8 years ago but still cant get over it. This is a heart breaking tale of two boys who unfortunately/fortunately belong to different categories created by society.

6) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon- I loved reading this because my not so cute but surely little head got to know about Autism. Different!!

7) Room by Emma Donoghue - The beauty of this work of fiction was I never realised while reading. But it hit me hard once I became a mother of a seriously cute little munchkin. We are so unaware of the surroundings that such unfortunate events happen in our vicinity and still we are so blinded.

Bus ab ye akhiri

8) The Time Traveler's wife by Audrey Niffenegger - Now about this book I have heard some not so good reviews and so so good reviews. So, I belong to the later part. All about time travelling. If you also want to time travel then buy a ticket and go with them. Today, April 2020 has a lockdown and national and international travels are banned due to bin bulaye mehman Mr.Coronavirus and hence you are not even allowed to go anywhere isliye go with the couple in their time travelling journey ghar baithe baithe.
I loved them❤💕

Thank You for investing your time on what I loved reading.

Let me know that if you happen to love the same or hate or whatever!!
